More than 20 million Americans have Chronic Kidney Disease. Chronic Kidney Disease affects men, women, and children from all walks of life. Many people are unaware they are at risk for this disease until it is to late and are diagnosed with kidney failure. Those at greatest risk for progressing to Chronic Kidney Disease are those individuals with Diabetes and High Blood Pressure (Hypertension). Currently there are approximately 20.8 million people in the United States who have Diabetes and 65 million people who have High Blood Pressure.
